Saheliyon
Ki Bari or the 'Garden of Maids'
was constructed by Maharana Sangram
Singh II. Built as a retreat for
the 48 maids who accompanied his
wife as dowry, Saheliyon Ki Bari
is the most fascinating garden
in Udaipur.
A must-visit during travel to
Saheliyon Ki Bari of Udaipur, it was
the place for unlimited fun and
frolic for the ladies of the royal
household.
As you walk into the garden on
the marble pathways, you will
witness royalty at its best. The
water pools in Saheliyon Ki Bari Udaipur

and lions serving as fountains

Maharana Bhopal Singh to create

Royal cenotaphs made in pure black
marble surround the main reservoir
of the Saheliyon Ki Bari in Udaipur.
The reservoir has water spurting
from the beaks of sculpted birds
placed at the four corners.
The lotus pool of the garden is
simply incredible. Carved marble
pavilions, water pools containing
kiosks and flowerbeds make Saheliyon Ki Bari in Udaipur one of the most popular
attractions of Udaipur.

a museum exhibiting a unique assortment
of items used in the royal household.
