between the 12th and 15th century,

The Jaisalmer Fort has seven beautifully
carved Jain Temples Jaisalmer. The most
important three temples are the
ones dedicated to Rishabhdevji
and Sambhavanathji. The Ashthapadi
Temple is also one of the prime
tourist attractions of Jaisalmer.

the temples.
The Jaisalmer Jain Temples are
ornamented like the world-famous
Dilwara Temples at Mount Abu.

houses the emerald icon of Mahavira.

The Jain Temple complex also houses
a library known as the Gyan Bhandar.
This library contains old manuscripts

The temples are open only till
12 noon. Tourists have to put
off their shoes to get enter the
temple area.
