HISTORY

Tours to Chittorgarh was established by a king named Bappa Rawal in the 8th century. A witness to some of the bloodiest battles in history, Chittorgarh Tours has a very turbulent past to speak of. In fact, Chittorgarh was ravaged thrice at different points of time. The first person to attack Chittorgarh was Alauddin Khilji in 1303 AD. It is believed that he was so captivated by Queen Padmini's beauty that he ravaged Chittorgarh Rajasthan in order to possess her. But the queen chose to sacrifice her life instead of facing dishonor and committed Jauhar (self immolation).

Chittorgarh Tours was also attacked by Bahadur Shah in 1533 AD followed by Akbar. It must be mentioned that Akbar's attack almost razed the Chittorgarh Fort to the ground.
