Tirupati is the abode of Lord Venkateswara who is the most significant deity of this phase of human evolution as per the Hindu mythologies. Nagarjunakonda:

In the past Nagarjunkonda was victim of perennial flooding largely due to the reservoir. In a bid to preserve nine awesome monuments, an expert team of archaeologists from the Archaeological Survey of India literally relocated the monuments from the valley to Nagarjunakonda.

There is a beautiful Island in the middle of the reservoir. Nagarjunakonda also has a well stocked museum replete with rare Buddhist relics that were unearthed from the valley.
