Ajmer:
As a city Ajmer is very unique
as it is a holy and a much venerated
place of pilgrimage for both the
Hindus and Muslims. Raja Ajay
Pal Chauhan in 17th century AD
founded this city. Ajmer is blessed
with the holiest Muslim shrine
of India courtesy the Dargah of
Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti who was
a Sufi saint. It is also in Ajmer
that fearless and gallant Prithviraj
Chauhan was born and sacrificed
his life fighting against the
marauding Sultan Ghori`s troops.
Also in Ajmer, one will come across
one of India's most esteemed institution
-Mayo College, which was founded
in 1875 primarily for the education
of the sons of the royal families
of Rajasthan. Mayo College is
a mere 4 Kms from the city. Other
notable attractions of Ajmer are
the Adhai Din ka Jhopra which
is a mosque and the impressive
Taragarh fort. Around Ajmer, there
is the world famous desert city
of Pushkar, which is located at
a distance of 11 Kms north-east
of Ajmer. Pushkar is renowned
for the annual fair that draws

the only Brahma temple in India.
Alwar:
In the days of yore the city of
Alwar was under the mighty Mughals.
But in the year 1775 A.D., Maharaja
Pratap Singh captured the city
from the Mughals. Alwar is located
on the picturesque Aravalli ranges.
The city is nestled amidst undulating
hills, scenic valleys, exotic
wildlife and shimmering lakes.
Some of Alwar's most enduring
landmarks are the magnificent
City Palace Museum, impregnable
Forts, the regal Vinay Vilas Palace,
the splendid Purjan Vihar and
the tomb of Fatherganj. It is
also worth visiting places like
Jaisamand Lake, Siliserh lake
and Vijay Mandir Palace all of
which are renowned for their magnetic
appeal which lures tourist from
far and near. Corbett
National Park:
The world famous Corbett National
Park is named in honor of one
of India's all time great "Shikari"
or hunter - Jim Corbett who lived
much of his life here. It is one
of India's best managed wildlife
parks. The park is spread over
a sprawling 520 sq. Kms. of dense
grasslands and forests. The shimmering
Ramganga river meanders through
the park which is home to a wide
variety of flora and fauna. The
river is ideal for fishing and
equipments can be hired from the
park authorities for a nominal
fee. The piece de resistance is
of course the Tiger, but one needs
plenty of luck to sight the big
cats. The park is also home to
several species of avian life
and is a bird watcher's delight.

Brindavan is located in close
proximity to Mathura. Brindavan

saint Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
established his Bhakti cult here.
The International Society of Krishna

Dehradun:
Dehradun is a quaint little hill
resort and is known for its scenic
mountain views. Dehradun is most
famous for the Indian Military
Academy (IMA) which is where young

join the ranks of the Indian Army
as Commissioned Officers. One
of India's most esteemed educational
institution - The Doon School
is located in Dehradun. The town

Deeg:
Deeg is located at a distance
of 36 Kms north of Bharatpur,
the world famous bird sanctuary
and 90 Kms from Agra. Deeg is
a quaint little town nestled in
the midst of two huge water reservoirs.
One of the most enduring landmarks
of Deeg is the magnificent 18th
century marble palace built by
the Maharaja of Bharatpur.
Fatehpur Sikri:
The historical city of Fathepur
Sikri was conceived and developed
by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1571.
Thereafter the city was deserted
and uninhabited due to acute water
scarcity. Fathepur Sikri is a
mere 38 Kms to the west of Agra
city. Some of Fathepur Sikri's
most enduring landmarks are the
impressive fort, the majestic
Jama Masjid and of couse the mausoleum
of the Sufi saint Sheikh Salim
Chisti. Hardwar:
Hardwar is one of the most holiest
places of pilgrimage for the Hindus.
According to Hindu mythology Hardwar
served as the entry point of Lord
Shiva from the Himalayas to the
plains. The city is ideally located
on the banks of the holy river
Ganges and is conspicuous by its
many 'Ghats" where people can
be seen bathing. The most popular
"Ghat" is the Har Ki Paori ghat.
Hardwar is teeming with temples
and an air of ethereal charm envelopes
the entire city. The town is at
its best early in the morning
and evening when the pujas are
performed in the temples.
Mathura:
Mathura is an ancient town located
on the banks of Yamuna river.
Mathura happens to be the birthplace
of Lord Krishna and is one of
the principal places of Hindu
pilgrimage. There is a museum
which has a rich collection of
artifacts and is run and administered
by the Archaeological Survey of
India. Other notable landmarks
of Mathura are the Kesava Deo
Temple and Vishram Ghat both very
popular with tourists and pilgrims.
Jaipur:
Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan
and was founded by Sawai Jaisingh
who was not only a monarch but
also a gallant soldier, an intelligent
astronomer and a pioneering builder.
The city is popularly referred
to as the Pink City of India largely
due to the color of the "Old City"
which is pink in color. In fact,
the "Old City" was painted in
pink color to welcome Prince Albert
when he visited the state of Rajasthan
in 1863. Jaipur offers a bewildering
array of sight seeing options
to the discerning traveler. For
instance, there is the Jantar
Mantar, which is an observatory
built by Maharaja Jai Singh. The
Hawa Mahal built in 1799 A.D.
is conspicuous by its latticed
windows and the City Palace is
renowned for the Maharaja Sawai
Man Singh Museum which is a virtual
treasure trove of Rajasthani antiquities
and artifacts. Other notable attractions
of Jaipur are the impregnable
Nahargarh Fort and the magnificent

Mussourie:
Mussorie is a picturesque hill
resort located at a distance of
36 Kms from Dehradun. Mussourie
is renowned for its breathtaking
mountain vistas. In Mussourie
there are many interesting treks
particularly in remote Garhwal,
which is where the true beauty
of the Garhwal Himalayas can be
savored. One of the most sought
after trekking trail is the trek
to Nag Tibba at an altitude of
3,000 meters in the midst of dense

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary:
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a
world famous bird sanctuary and
it is home to more than 350 avian
species. Both resident and migratory
birds can be seen in Bharatpur's
marshy areas. The sanctuary is
indeed a bird watcher's delight.
It is among the few places in
the world where every year in
winter the rare and endangered
Siberian Crane can be spotted.
The best way to explore the varied
bird species is by riding on a
bicycle. Three wheeled rickshaws
too are found in plenty at Bharatpur.
Sariska National
Park:
Thie Sariska National Prak is
an integral part of "Project Tiger"
which was launched in early 70's
to preserve the big cats whose
numbers were rapidly dwindling.
Sariska is located between Alwar
and Jaipur is conspicuous by its
dry deciduous forests. The beautiful
Aravalli range are also located
in the distant horizon. Apart
from Tigers, the park is home
to a variety of wildlife species
like leopard, sambhar and the
wild boar. Sariska is not only
about haunting wilderness but
also has elements of history and
culture courtesy the 9th century
ruins of a Shiva temples and the
