Bannerghatta National
Park: (22 Km)

wildlife safaris would do well
to visit the Bannerghatta National
Park which is located at a distance

park is among the most beautiful

within the peripherial areas of
this enchanting wildlife sanctuary.
Bannerghetta has rich diversity

Tipu's Palace:
This magnificent palace was built
way back in the year 1791. The
palace is truly elegant and is
conspicuous by its gorgeous two-storeyed
flamboyant wooden edifice . The
palace with its gracefully carved
pillars, arches and galleries
was Tipu's Sultans much sought
after summer palace.
Hesaragatta:
Hesaragatta is located at a distance
of 25 Kms. from Tours in Bangalore India
is a popular picnic spot. There
are facilities for water sports
and apart from boating one can
also indulge in Wind Surfing.
There is a Horticultural Farm
within close proximity which too
can be an ideal spot for fun filled
picnics.
Ramanagaram:
Ramanagaram is the Mecca of Rock-climbers.
If you have it in you to embark
on a stint of Rock Climbing, this
is the place to go. Located at
a distance of 49 Kms south-west
of Bangalore, Ramanagaram is much
preferred by Rock Climbers not
only from Bangalore but from elsewhere
in India as well. The area is
replete with a plethora of landscaped
rocks which are ideal for rock
climbing. The Bollywood blockbuster
"Sholay" was shot at this picturesque
location.
Janapada
Loka:
Located at a distance of 53 Kms.
from Bangalore, Janapada Loka
is the melting pot of Kannadiga
folk art and culture. It is well
spread out on a sprawling 15 acres
of beautifully landscaped vistas.
The Janapada Loka comes under
the aegis of the Karnataka Janapada
Parishath. Inside the premises
there is an art gallery, an open-air
theatre as well as a museum that
showcases the best of Karnataka's
folk art and culture through artifacts
and relics.
Channapatna:
Channapatna is a lively town located
at a distance of 60 Kms south-west
of Bangalore. It is renowned for
its stunning lacquer ware and
handcrafted toys made of finest
quality wood. Channapatna is also
the silk producing zone of Karnataka.
Mekedatu:
You will come across this fabulous
Eco-Tourism spot which is replete
with turbulent waters, scenic
landscapes and virgin picnic spots
all of which makes Mekedatu a

The swift flowing Cauvery river
meanders across along a narrow
ravine and passes through the

Nandi
Hills:
Nandi Hills used to be Tipu Sultan's
favorite summer retreat. Nandi
